About us
A pet store run by people who actually care for animals
ToyFox started as a single shelf unit in a dog club in Oslo. Today we are a full-range pet store with our own testing room, where every food, every lead and every brush is assessed by animal care specialists and experienced breeders before it makes it into the range. We do not sell everything that exists — we sell what we would use on our own animals.
Our name comes from the toy fox terrier: small in size, big in personality and with needs that are easily overlooked by the large chains. That attitude runs through the whole store. We take small breeds, sensitive stomachs and older animals just as seriously as the bestsellers.

Feeding guidance
We put together a feeding plan based on age, activity level, allergies and any advice from your vet — and help you switch safely between types of food.

Harnesses, collars, cages and carriers are measured on the animal in store. The right fit means a better gait, less chafing and a safer animal out on walks.

Getting to know you
You tell us about breed, age, habits and any challenges. We ask follow-up questions by email.

Recommendation
You get a concrete suggestion with two or three options, the reasoning behind it and a transition plan.

Preparation
We set the products aside for collection or pack them for delivery, with instructions in the parcel.

Follow-up
After a few weeks we hear how it is going, and adjust the recommendation if the animal tells us otherwise.

No. You can drop by during opening hours, or fill in the form on the website. For more
extensive matters — for example a full review of the feeding plan for several animals — we
are happy to agree a time by email so that we can set aside enough time.
We normally answer enquiries within one business day. If you submit the form at the weekend
or on a public holiday, you will get a reply on the first business day after. All replies
are sent to the email address you provide in the form.
Yes. We create a transition plan where the new food is gradually mixed into the old one
over seven to ten days, with clear quantities for each step. If something happens along the
way, we adjust the plan. For persistent stomach problems we always recommend that you
contact a vet — we do not replace veterinary treatment.
Yes, we ship to all of mainland Norway and to most island communities with regular
services. Heavy sacks of food are packed in moisture-proof packaging. If you would rather
collect in store, we prepare the order and let you know by email when it is ready.
Get in touch as soon as possible and describe what is not working. Unused items in their
original packaging we exchange without further ado. For gear such as harnesses and collars
we are happy to adjust the fit first — often it is the fit, not the product, that is the

Yes. We carry a permanent range for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and birds, and a basic
selection for freshwater aquariums. If you need something special, we are happy to order it
in on request — send us the product name and we will check with our suppliers.
